Special statuses

If you are a student and want to work, the university offers tools to help you combine work and study.

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT AT SCHOOLS (EMPLOI ETUDIANT)

Higher education institutions offer student jobs throughout the year.

"Emploi étudiant" (student employment) is a special contract that respects the maximum threshold of 600 hours from September to June and 300 hours in the summer. Schools also offer vacations for short-term projects.

Recruitment needs are sent via newsletters and displayed on the student intranet.

Offers at Université Grenoble Alpes are listed on the student employment platform (access with UGA login details)

EMPLOYED STUDENT STATUS (ÉTUDIANT ENGAGÉ)

Students at UGA with proof of a contract of over 3 months and 10 hrs/wk can adjust their academic program using the status "Etudiant engagé".

CIVIC SERVICE

Civic Service is a voluntary commitment to serve the community, open to all young people aged 16 to 25.

Civic Service pays €473,04 net per month, can be carried out at associations, regional authorities and public institutions (colleges, high schools, museums, etc.), for a period of 6-12 months in France or abroad, for an assignment of at least 24 hours a week.
